The entrance - the Marano monogram greets every guest
Cover Story
Welcome to Marano
For nearly four decades, Trattoria Marano has been a cornerstone of Munich's dining scene. Warm light falls on rustic wooden beams, conversation drifts between tables, and the unmistakable aroma of a Neapolitan oven at work fills the room. First visits rarely remain the only ones.
Our pizzaiolo at the stone oven - craftsmanship since 2025
Craft
A Craft of Fire and Flour
The stone oven climbs to 430 degrees - the only temperature at which a true Neapolitan pizza is completed in ninety seconds. The dough has rested for 48 hours beforehand. The tomato: San Marzano. The mozzarella: Fior di Latte. The signature of the pizzaiolo remains unmistakable in every disc.
The Cantina
La Cantina - the Soul in Bottles
More than eighty wines from every region of Italy rest in our cantina. From the crisp Prosecco of the Veneto to the profound Barolo of Piedmont - each bottle tells a story, each vineyard carries its own handwriting.

At the table - every seat carries its own story
"Time tastes different when a wood-fired oven breathes nearby."
Atmosphere
Evenings That Linger
Our finest ingredient is time - time to talk, time to laugh, time between courses. No one is rushed here; life takes the pace it deserves. As in Naples. As it should be.
The old wooden beams - a breath of rustic Tuscany
Vintage photographs on the wall - the Italy of the 1960s
Gallery - Continued
Every wall of our house carries memories - black-and-white photographs from the 1960s, certificates, postcards from the old country. Marano is not merely a restaurant; it is an archive of a family who carried Naples to Munich. Look twice - there is much to find.
